Verse of the Week

​“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

JEREMIAH 1:5 AMP

Happy Sunday everyone! 

This week’s devotional is taken from one of my favorite verses. In this verse, God was talking to the prophet Jeremiah. He reminds him that before he existed, He knew him. Not only that, He chose him to be a prophet. I think one of the very many lessons here is that God has a plan for our lives. An ultimate plan that was set even before we were born. 

The point is, you are special. You have a special purpose, and a great destiny to fulfill because God himself picked it out for you. And trust me, He never fails, He never lies and He doesn’t make a mistake. His plans are the best, and there’s no good that comes from running away from it. Also, since God is the one that has called you, He is completely able to reveal your purpose to you, and He will if you diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6).
