Blog Week · Inspirational

Hello beautiful people!!

I’m so excited to announce that today is the start of my……….

Drum roll pleaseeee ๐Ÿฅ

๐ŸŽ‡ ๐ŸŽ‰

I’m so thrilled cause it’s been officially a year since I started my blog (or it will be on 23RD of this month).

With that in mind, let’s have a quick Origin story shall we? (lol, I’m currently obsessed with marvel/DC universe):

It was a random friday night, exactly 2 days before Christmas in 2016, that I decided to start my very own blog! I was actually really clueless as to how to blog (I pretty much still am) but I just did it, spontaneously. Some things in life I guess aren’t mean to be over analysed or overthought. You just get up one day and do it!

Okay, enough with my origin story ๐Ÿ˜. Today on the blog, I wanna share something really cool with you guys titled:

He’s in you, He’s got you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yesterday in church, the preacher spoke about the very popular story of David in the Bible, before he was crowned King. David was the youngest child out of 8 boys. He was always looked down on to handle the little things–the little responsibilities like taking care of sheep. He was so insignificant in his home that when the prophet Samuel came to his father, Jesse, to ask of his sons, Jesse forgot to mention him! But David didn’t let that bother him. Because even when his own father forgot him, God never did. He had him in mind since the very foundations of the world were set, to be the King of Isreal.

The part of his story I want to share is when he faces off with the giant, Goliath.

Goliath was the champion of the Philistines, Israel’s greatest enemies at the time. The philistines had waged war with the people of Israel for some time now but this time was different. They’d tricked the Israelites into a one-on-one battle with the best from both sides. The winner of the match would determine the fate of the nation. The israelites agreed without knowing the weapon the philistines had–the horror that was Goliath.

The description of Goliath in 1st Samuel 17 is quite impressive (you can it read it here). He was an absolute monstrosity. He continously taunted the Israeli army, insulting their God and people and making a mockery of them. The men had become so frightened as the days of the 40 day ultimatum given to them grew closer and closer.

However th opposite was the case for young David. Mere listening to Goliath’s taunting words vexed him and he immediately moved to fight this demon goliath. He didn’t hesitate, he just moved.

David didn’t think of the fact that he was way way wayyyy underage. In fact, Goliath felt insulted when David stepped up to represent the army. He must have been thinking

“Is this a joke?”

“An army sending a child to fight me? A whole me?!?! Really?!?!?”

Naa bruh G. Ain’t nothing funny about getting your ass kicked by a 16 year old.

Little did poor Goliath know that that child was not coming alone. He was coming with the power of the Almighty God, the Greatest of the greatest. He was coming to break the laws of physics and gravity (can I hear an amen somebody!!!)

If only he saw what that child was carrying in him, he would’ve shut his yap a long time ago.

Lovely people, the same thing goes for you!

As a born again child of God, you are entitled to great things. Emphasis on the word entitledYou have a king as your father, THE KING OF KINGS. You have Jesus on the inside of you who has all power and all authority. So ain’t nothing in this world that can stop you. Ain’t no Giant, no test, no sickness, absolutely nothing! Nada!

With that in mind, you can live your life without hesitation, without fear, without worry. You do not have to be so worked up about what will be or what could be because you have absolute assurance of what is going to be๐Ÿ˜Š.

Let’s go back to my blog origin story again ๐Ÿ˜

I started a year ago having no idea on how it was going to work out…and I still don’t. But I do have one thing–Faith and an understanding of whom I have, whose I am and what I carry. I believe that whatever I do must prosper because the greater One, Jesus, lives in me.

This week, I’ve come to remind you that no matter how the year has been, don’t look back and wonder about the coulda, shoulda, wouldas. Believe that no matter the situation, all things are working for your victory, for your success, for your lifting, for your rising, for your favor! Know that as long as you got Jesus, it’s okay.  He’s in you and He’s got you real good ๐Ÿ˜‰

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

I John 4:4 NKJV
