T W E N T Y – E I G H T E E N
Officially marks 18 years I’ve lived on the planet, soon to be nineteen.
It’s been one hell of a journey till now.
I’ve had my fair share of pure joy and equally had those not so great days when I just want to crawl up my bed FOREVER.
You see, I’ve always been an optimist. I’m basically THAT happy go lucky girl who loves all things sunshine, and rainbows….. yeah, all that sappy kind of stuff. But I guess 2017 changed me. It brought out my worst fears and sadness. Times of loneliness and dispair. Unbelievable really.
They say experiences make or break you. But in a way I feel it’s both. The bad times may break you and bring you to ‘quote on quote’ your lowest point, but they still have a way of making you who you become at the end of the day.
Reaching rock bottom isn’t the best feeling, I know. But it isn’t exactly the end. You see the ROCK of Ages, Jesus, is there even in the dark days. He’s there to give you hope and to comfort you. To strengthen and get you back on your feet.
Okay, I don’t want to ramble too much but you get the gist.
2017 wasn’t my best year. But I’m not going to focus on that. I’m not going to wallow in regret. Instead, I press on as Paul the apostle in Phillipians 3:14. With a stronger will, mind, body and heart, I push forward, even more eager than before. For I am not of them that draw back (Hebrews 10:39) or give up, but I am more than a conqueror in Christ! Amen!
So, 2018, I’m ready. I’m ready to pursue, overtake and recover all. I’m ready to achieve mind blowing stuff. I’m ready for you because you MUST favor me. I believe that God has indeed given me grace that is very much sufficient for any and every thing. So in fact, don’t care about the setbacks. I’m here for the ultimate comeback!
Here’s to 2018.
To a season of turnarounds.
To a season of open doors, open gates, opportunities on every side.
To a season of fulfilling destiny, of doing the extraordinary.
To a season of making history.
Here’s, to the the new year! 🥂
But we are not those who turn back and are lost. We are people who have faith and are saved.
