“He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us,”
– (Acts 17:26-27 ESV)
Excerpt from Apostle Paul’s sermon at the Areopagus
The Lord made us, and in His sovereignty, predetermined aspects of our lives. His design has intent and purpose. It is so we might seek Him.
Still, there is a choice. “Perhaps”. An offer, whether we might feel our way toward Him and find Him.
All roads lead to seeking and finding God. And in reevaluating my own life, I see this truth clearly. Paradoxically, we discover that the person doing 200% of the ‘seeking and finding’ is God and not us. He draws us to Himself, gives us saving faith, subsequently regenerates our spirit and ultimately keeps us forever.
So then.
Perhaps.
This may be the moment of your perhaps. For you to feel your way towards God and find Him, (or rather allow yourself to be found by Him) because He is truly not far from you.
